Arben Kurtovic
Arben Kurtovic is an associate in the law firm of Marquardt & Belmonte, P.C. Mr. Kurtovic received his Bachelor's degree from DePaul University, Chicago, Illinois and his Juris Doctorate from DePaul University College of Law, Chicago, Illinois.
During law school, Mr. Kurtovic was a law clerk at the Cook County State's Attorney's Office working in the Narcotics Bureau. After graduating from law school, Mr. Kurtovic became an Assistant State's Attorney in DuPage County.
As an Assistant State's Attorney, he handled thousands of criminal cases including traffic, driving under the influence, domestic violence, general misdemeanor, and felony matters. During his time with the State’s Attorney’s Office, Mr. Kurtovic prosecuted numerous jury and bench trials, as well as evidentiary hearings.
Mr. Kurtovic has also received certified training from the National Highway and Traffic Safety Administration relating specifically to driving under the influence matters and standardized field sobriety testing. Since leaving the State's Attorney's Office, Mr. Kurtovic has focused his attention on criminal defense.
Mr. Kurtovic is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the DuPage County Bar Association.
