William T. Belmonte
William T. Belmonte is a partner in the law firm of Marquardt & Belmonte P.C. Mr. Belmonte received his Bachelor's degree from Marquette University, and his Juris Doctorate from DePaul University College of Law.
Mr. Belmonte began his career in law as a clerk and then an Assistant State's Attorney with the DuPage County State's Attorneys Office. While an Assistant State's Attorney, Mr. Belmonte spent time in the traffic, misdemeanor, and felony divisions of that office. While spending the majority of his time in the felony division, he was assigned to prosecute general felonies ranging from forgery and theft to armed robbery and reckless homicide. He also spent a year prosecuting drug cases involving the manufacture and delivery of cannabis, cocaine, heroin, and LSD.
Since leaving the State's Attorneys Office in August of 1997, Mr. Belmonte has expanded his practice of law to include personal injury, worker's compensation, commercial and residential real estate, and he also represents various businesses which include automobile dealers and industrial equipment producers.
Mr. Belmonte is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the DuPage County Bar Association, American Association for Justice, and the DuPage County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. He is also actively involved as an Arbitrator in DuPage County.
