Scott R. Marquardt
Scott R. Marquardt is a partner in the law firm of Marquardt & Belmonte, P.C. Mr. Marquardt received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois, Champaign, IL and his Juris Doctorate from Chicago-Kent College of Law, Chicago, Illinois.
During law school, Mr. Marquardt was a law clerk at the DuPage County State's Attorney's Office. After graduating from law school, Mr. Marquardt became an Assistant State's Attorney in DuPage County. During his career at the State's Attorney's Office he worked several divisions: traffic, misdemeanor, felony and finally he was in charge of the Felony Screening Division prior to his departure in 1996. Since that time he has focused his attention on criminal defense and property tax appeals. He has both prosecuted and defended cases ranging from traffic violations, driving under the influence, theft, domestic battery as well as hundreds of felony matters. Mr. Marquardt is also president of a lobbying firm that focuses on State of Illinois legislative and executive issues.
